As promised, Ubisoft has released the reveal trailer for Assassin's Creed III, which shows off the game's new protagonist, Connor, laying the smack down on numerous foes.
While no gameplay footage was shown in the trailer, quite a few hints were given off. For example, Connor is seen jumping through lots of trees. Ubisoft has also stated that the combat will be much more fluid this time around, with an emphasis on offensive play, which could perhaps be why so much attacking was shown.
The game is set during the American Revolution in the 18th century. Ubisoft has promised that both sides of the conflict will be told from a non-biased perspective, which is probably why Connor is of half Mohawk, half British descent. In keeping with the times, his assasssin garb has been upgraded and he's now carrying a lovely tomahawk that's shaped like the Assassin's insignia.
Check out the video below. It may not be the lengthiest, and it certainly doesn't feature any cool, over the top techno music, but it's still worth a watch.
Assassin's Creed 3 is due for release on the 30th of October, 2012, on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. This is slightly before Assassin's Creed games typically release.
