Since its release, Minecraft has gone on to sell over five million copies worldwide, allowing Mojang to see revenues of over $80 million.
Mojang can also boast 25 million registered players to the game, five million of which signed up to the game in the last month. This has been boosted by the release of mobile versions of the game.
In terms of future growth, Mojang feel they're just getting started. ""We've been approached by a number of high-profile Hollywood producers and asked to do TV shows," said the company's Chief Executive Carl Manneh.
There is also a range of Minecraft LEGO in the works, with Mojang also working on some new projects. One such project is Scrolls.
