Following on from our report last week about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim patch 1.5, which was based off of leaked information, full details have now been published by Bethesda on their official blog.
As we had previously stated, this Skyrim patch will feature a new cinematic kill camera for projectile weapons, as well as magic. This was something the developers tried out while developing the game, but it was cut for the final retail version.
The developers will also be adding new kill moves and animations for melee weapons too, in order to balance things out.
There will also be some graphics tweaks, with visual transition of going underwater being improved, while shadows on grass will be added to the PC version of Skyrim. Distance will also be improved for snowy landscapes.
In terms of bug fixes, "A Cornered Rat" will now not be affected by the death of certain NPCs and Farkas will now be able to issue companion quests properly. The game's memory will be further optimised too.
If you want to view the full, rather extensive list, of bug fixes for this version of Skyrim, please feel free to check out the BethBlog post. You can also check out some of the new kill moves and the kill camera in this wonderful patch preview video.
PC players are able to download a beta version of the patch at the moment via Steam, and the final version of the patch will also be arriving for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers "soon". Check back to the site in the future to find out more about Skyrim patches.
