Japan Charts: PSP Continues To Outsell The PS Vita

The latest Japanese hardware figures are in, as compiled by Japanese firm Media Create and they show that the PlayStation Vita still can't seem to beat any of its PlayStation brethren, including the PlayStation Portable.

The Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360 rounded out the bottom of the list with the 360 nabbing only 1,373 sales and the Wii gathering 6,837. The Playstation Vita beat out the Wii with 8,250 handhelds sold, but the PSP carries on selling, shifting over 13,000 last week.

Possibly due to the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 3D, the Nintendo 3DS managed to sell 63,796 which is nearly double the amount of the PS3 which came in second place with 17,765. Plenty of 3DS and PSP titles appeared on the top 20 list, which may have attributed to the successful week for both handhelds.

Hopefully the PS Vita will gain some momentum once it starts getting some big name titles in its repertoire. Final Fantasy Type-0 localization anyone?
