Is it possible that the reason 'The World Ends With You' was featured so much in Kingdom Hearts 3D was because Square Enix was planning a sequel? Co-creator Tetsuya Nomura seems to be hinting at it.
While discussing the character Raimu, Nomura said that the reason she had a voice was out of 'consideration' for future TWEWY titles. When asked about the possibility of a sequel Nomura said that although he can't say anything about it, "There is probably something."
The World Ends With You gained a cult following when it debuted on the Nintendo DS back in 2008. Since then, fans have been yearning for more. Hopefully Nomura will expand on this in the future. Until then, look out for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance on July 31st.
