With Penny Arcade Expo 2012 kicking off this weekend Sony has announced 4 new characters in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale. Sony announced that Evil Cole from Infamous 2, Raiden from MGR:Revengeance, Nariko from Heavenly Sword, and Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil will be joining the roster.

The new fighters are a mix of popular and somewhat forgotten game series. PlayStation All Stars is looking to please every fan of the PS3 by including all sorts of characters from 1st and 3rd party publishers. Along with characters from original PlayStation games all the way up to PlayStation 3 series.

Evil Cole will not play like Good Cole at all since they differ greatly in powers. Evil Cole has a wide variety of electrokinesis and pyrokinesis attacks. Draining the life out of your opponents and flying across the stage should remind players that playing bad can feel good too. Cole will feature a mix of short and mid ranged attacks making him a well rounded character for beginners.

Raiden is going to feature many moves you have seen in MGS4 and even more from the upcoming Revengeance. He will be very fast and mobile making him hard to get a hold of. Raiden also has a special combo system that helps link his different moves together much like Dante. Be sure to see a lot of lightening, cutting, and break dancing when Raiden joins a match.

Nariko is not just another standard sword fighter. She has many different key poses while fighting that help her defend, parry mid combo, juggle, and many more. She has a few projectile option to mix your opponents up and keep your distance.

Now Sir Daniel Fortesque may look Rusty, but he quite a few tricks up his skeletal sleeves. He is the kind of character you want when every player is heading right at you. His arsenal includes an axe, chicken, drumstick, bow, and even a limb or two. Of course it wouldn't be MediEvil without his trusty shield and broadsword.

Sony plans to announce even more characters with every big event in the gaming industry. Next up after PAX is the 2012 Tokyo Game Show in September. What do you think of the newly announced characters and who do you hope to see in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
