Last year, XSEED Games released Corpse Party on the Sony PSP, which gained a cult following and garnered rave reviews. The publisher has announced that the next game in the series, Book of Shadows, will be released in North America and Europe.
Book of Shadows tells a series of short stories that help develop many of the characters introduced in the first game and expand their numbers with some "fresh meat" as well. Players are thrown back in time to relive the horrific events that unfolded at Heavenly Host Elementary School. Armed with the knowledge gained during their first nightmarish trip through the school's ever-changing halls, they'll be given an opportunity to change the fates of the game's characters this time around.
Like the first Corpse Party, Book of Shadows will be released exclusively as a digital download via PlayStation Network. The North American version is set for a Winter 2012 release with the European version following shortly after. If you haven't picked up the original game, XSEED currently has it on sale for $9.99 until next Tuesday's PlayStation Store update.
