Back in August XSEED Games released The Last Story in North America which was included in a special edition version with a special enclosure and soundtrack CD. This brought up the cost slightly, so for more cost-concious fans who wanted just the game the publisher has now released a standalone version just in time for the holidays.
Led by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy, his team at Mistwalker and in collaboration with AQ Interactive, The Last Story puts players in control of a group of mercenaries in search of work in the harbour town of Lazulis Island. The game features a variety of mechanics, from a cover system to to long range Focus attacks, and online co-op and competitive modes.
The new standalone version now costs $29.99, a $10 discount over the original $39.99 version.
