If you've browsed our prior Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan you already know that the dungeon RPG series will be releasing next month in North America. If you want to get an early peek at the game or are interested and want to get your feet wet before thinking about buying the game you are in luck as Atlus is releasing a Nintendo eShop demo of the game early next month.
Etrian Odyssey IV plays similarly to its predecessor with an tough, old-school dungeon RPG feel where one false move can sound defeat. New to this entry is the ability to see the infamous F.O.E. super enemies on the dungeon map and a new newbie-friendly mode which takes you back to the town when you die (instead of getting a game over) and gives you an item to whisk you out of the dungeon at any time. Also, you get to ride in a hot air balloon!
On February 7, Atlus will be putting up a Nintendo eShop demo of the game. The opening gameplay areas in the game will be available, which includes the introduction, initial mini-dungeon, the first skyship area and the first main dungeon. These all include the various side quests and equipment, skills and classes. Better yet, any progress made in the demo can be transferred to the full retail version of the game.
Atlus will release Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan on February 26, 2013 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS both in retail and digital download format via the Nintendo eShop. If you pre-order from participating retailers you will also get a limited edition art book and soundtrack CD as an added bonus. Until then, feel free to browse through some of the new character class videos below.
