EA has revealed that the demo released for Dead Space 3 has been downloaded over two million times since its release on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store.

The demo, which was released not too long ago, featured both co-operative and single-player action and EA has claimed that the amount of downloads is a massive increase on the previous installment.

According to their internal figures, the Dead Space 3 demo represents a "double digit" increase of the Dead Space 2 demo - very impressive figures. They will surely be hoping this translates into many more sales for the franchise.

Dead Space 3 is due for release on the 5th of February in North America, with a European release on the 8th of February. It's due out on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
