Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Patch 1.08 (2.08 in Europe) has now been deployed on the PlayStation Network.
The move marks Bethesda's official preparation for the North American release of the Dragonborn downloadable content on the PlayStation Store. To install the update, you must simply insert the Skyrim disc and play as normal.
Amongst other things, patch 1.08 is going to improve general memory and stability across the game. There are also some hot fixes, for things like the game crashing when using Vampiric Grip and some NPCs being duplicated. For a full list of fixes, please refer to the official Bethblog post.
PS3 gamers have been waiting of Dragonborn DLC for quite some time, after it was release on the Xbox Live Marketplace last year. This patch ends that wait. To compensate gamers, Bethesda decided to reduce the price of the DLC by 50 percent during its opening week.
