Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Gameplay Footage Has Arrived

Ubisoft has brought forth in-game footage for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for the very first time, showing a small tease of naval battles, the underwater exploration, and the brand new locations. The two main locations shown are the palm tree filled Havana, the timber-framed homes residing in Kingston, and jungles with lost ruins waiting to be explored. This is also believe it or not our first look at Assassin's Creed for next-gen consoles, although it is unknown if the footage shown has been fully optimized for the new hardware already. Check out the world premiere trailer bellow.

Brand new copies of the game will include "VIP entry" to The Watch, a program that consists of bonus content and rewards. This presumably sounds like players might get access to a possible Assassin's Creed social network that will have a system that lets you upload content as well as compare skills and achievements.

In addition to the gameplay trailer Ubisoft also detailed the special editions for different regions. In the UK the Special Edition exclusive to GAME in the UK and Xtravision as well as Ireland, the Skull Edition, the Buccaneer Edition exclusive to GAME in the UK and GameStop in Ireland, and the biggest one of them all: the Black Chest Edition, exclusive to Ubisoft's Uplay store. Check out the contents of these bellow.

Pre-ordering Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag in North America grants you a two sided poster with a map on one side and artwork by comic design artist Todd McFarlane on the other. It is available to pick up right in store right after pre-ordering. When the game is released The Black Island Pack will come with the copy of the game while supplies last. This includes black island treasure hunting quest, the deadly black ship, Captain Morgan's gun, and Captain Morgan's costumes.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag releases on PS3, PC, XBOX 360, and Wii U October 29th, 2013 in North America and on November 1st, 2013 in the UK. It will also be coming to PS4 and XBOX 720 but there is no word on a street date for these at this time.
