After a surprising announcement last year that the Lost Planet franchise will be returning for a third game, Capcom has now revealed a lot of new information about the game and. Lost Planet 3 will launch on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on June 25th in North America and June 28th in Europe. A new trailer that released today shows off a less scary side to the game's story and focuses on the game protagonist Jim.
Jim is a simple family man who wants to earn as much money as he can so he can go home to his wife and new born child. He is working to collect a certain life force on the snowy planet and get wrapped up in a feud between a major corporation and snow pirates. Hopefully the focus on tense scary moments that we saw back in 2012 will be in the full game.
It also would not be a AAA video game release date announcement without some pre-order bonuses being revealed. Reserve a copy at GameStop or EB Games and you will get five unique multiplayer characters and one of them is HUNK from Resident Evil. Amazon and Best Buy will also have their own sets of unique weapons to use. All of these stores will also come with two rig upgrades to use in the game.
Lost Planet 3 is also not being made by the original team from Japan and is being made by Spark Unlimited. Are you interested in Lost Planet 3 any more with all of this new information that has come out today? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
