Following a release of the game's final form today, Double Fine has revealed that its candidly named "Double Fine Adventure" will now be known as "Broken Age".
As the game was crowd funded through Kickstarter, Double Fine tied the reveal in with PAX East 2013, which is currently taking place in Boston. They had initially asked for $400,000 to help them make the game, but ended up reaching $3.3 million. More has been pledged since, with Double Fine allowing new backers to submit funds via their website.
The game, which will be a point-and-click adventure, will follow the stories of a young girl and boy (pictured above). They lead parallel lives, but in very different worlds. The girl's world is more fantasy-based, while the boys is much more science fiction.
No release date has been announced thus far, but when it releases, it will be available on PC, Mac and Linux.
