The IndieGoGo campaign for more content in Skullgirls has a little under 2 weeks left and after successfully funding Squigly, fans have already donated enough for another character. The project originally started with the Skullgirls team asking for $150,000 to finish Squigly and the campaign is currently at $381,670.
The next big milestone has now been reached and Big Band will now be joining the roster as the first male fighter in the game. This doesn't mean that fans should stop supporting the game, there are still plenty of milestones to reach before the campaign is done.
The next big milestones to reach are a stage and story mode for Big Band at $400,000. The end goal though is to get $625,000 so that fans can vote on a mystery character DLC, stage, and story for Skullgirls.
Have you donated to the cause in hopes of supporting Skullgirls even more? How would you feel if other smaller games leaned on fans for supporting a game after initial release? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
