Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Retro Site Opens

April Fools Day, what a horrible time to announce an actual game, but with something as campy as Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon today couldn't fit any better. After achievements leaks and ratings were found online for the past few months, it was only a matter of time before we found out what this new content was.

Even though very little is known at the moment of this announcement, the retro themed site officially launched today with many nice nostalgic throwbacks. Besides a trailer teasing the game and two sample songs from the soundtracks, the site just feels like an early site in the 1990's.

The description for the story in the site alone should show you what kind of tone Blood Dragon will have:

[
]The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on.[
]

The site has tons of other fun jokes in it such as a fake interview with the director, fake store items, and many geocity web apps on the sides. Are you interested to see what sort of crazy game Blood Dragon could end up being? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
