Many fans of Square Enix have been wondering if we would ever see the release of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy outside Japan. Now thanks to this latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has announced that they will be partnering with Square Enix to release the 3DS title in North America and Europe. The only catch is that it will release in 2014.
Bravely Default released last year in Japan and made by the team who made the Final Fantasy III/IV 3D remake and Four Warriors of Light game. It was released with a lot of praise for it's fun battle system and memorable story. With such a hit game it was odd for Square to not just release it sooner.
The game clearly was not planning on releasing out of Japan if we will be waiting till 2014 to play it. This could mean Nintendo approached Square to release the game anyways for their system or the other way around since Square Enix has been having a lot of financial trouble as of late.
Complaints about more waiting aside, it is great to see a new RPG makinging it's way outside of Japan. How do you feel about this announcement for Bravely Default coming in 2014? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
