Japan Gets New Colors For The 3DS And 3DS XL

Beginning today and later June 13th, Japan will have a new 3DS and 3DS XL color for fans to enjoy.

For the 3DS XL, the official Pokémon Center Store has released a limited Eevee edition. This super cute system distinguishes itself amongst the others with various shades of brown stripes on the front of the 3DS along with a few white stripes. On the back of the system is a cute photo of Eevee on a white background staring at you with those huge anime eyes. The rest of the 3DS is a solid, bright white.

Obtaining the system is tricky even for those in Japan since reservations are decided by lottery from May 15 through June 3rd. After obtaining a reservation, the adorable system will run you 18,900 yen.

The second color is exclusive to the regular 3DS and is called Metallic Red. The color is similar to the Flame Red 3DS, but much lighter. This system will release June 13th for 15,000 yen and includes a 4gb memory card.

While the Eevee 3DS XL is sure to get more attention than its Metallic Red cousin, us non-Japanese gamers will have to stay content with the 3DS and 3DS XL variations we have.
