Electronic Arts just announced Need for Speed: Rivals. The new title in the series is being produced by EA's recent studio, Ghost Games, and will count with collaboration of Criterion Games - responsable for last year's title, Need for Speed Most Wanted. The game will use the engine developed by DICE, the Frostbite 3.
The game will take place in an open world, and will allow players to explore and tracking down collectables and challanges. However, the game will focus on Cops vs. Racers races.
Rivals will have a functionality called AllDrive which will allow players to join or leave online races instantly. Autolog will be making it's return, allowing players to challange their friends and compete with each other to achieve the higher ranks in the leaderboard.
Need for Speed: Rivals will be released on the 19th November for Pc, Playstation 3, Xbox 360. The next-gen versions, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, will only be released later.
