Nomura: Kingdom Hearts 3 Worlds Not Finalised Yet

Things have been rather crazy since Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts 3 during Sony's press conference at this year's E3. Since then, Tetsuya Nomura has, as you'd expect, been asked a lot of questions.

This latest interview comes from Dengeki PlayStation in Japan, where Nomura talks about quite a few different things relating to both Kingdom Hearts 3, but also Final Fantasy XV.

One of the most important parts of the interview was where Nomura states that while the team are hard at work on the development of Kingdom Hearts 3, they still haven't finished choosing all of the worlds that will make it into the game. There has been a lot of debate online about the scope of worlds that would now be in the game following a plethora of acquisitions by Disney. These date back to Pixar, but also include Marvel and now the Star Wars universe.

Outside of this, Nomura also stated once again that the footage we saw of Kingdom Hearts 3 during E3 wasn't in real time. The team were in a hurry to show off something that they were working on, so i was all pre-rendered. However, Nomura did state that the footage they showed off looks basically the same as if it's running on hardware anyway. In a previous interview, Nomura stated that he believed the game was announced too early.

Nomura stated that they plan on showing off more of the battle footage in the future and that different outfits for Kingdom Hearts 3 will be introduced at another time.

As expected, Nomura also reiterated that Square Enix plan to reveal more information about Kingdom Hearts 3 during this year's Tokyo Game Show, but also at the D23 Expo Japan. At D23, Nomura will be on stage with many popular voice actors to talk about the Kingdom Hearts franchise, while announcing titbits of new information.

Since this is the first Kingdom Hearts game to arrive on a Microsoft platform, specifically the Xbox One, Nomura said that Square Enix are looking for ways to help newcomers feel more at home with the franchise. He said they're investigating the usage of online media, but also smartphones and tablets.

So, how does everyone feel about this? What worlds would you like to see pop up in Kingdom Hearts 3 that we haven't previous seen?
