It's been reported, thanks to some posters in Germany and Holland that appeared over the weekend, that the PS4 will be released across Europe on the 13th of November, 2013.
The rumour gained traction on NeoGAF, where a user posted up pictures of posters that were under the control of Media Markt in Germany and Holland. They advertised that the release date for the PlayStation 4 would be the 13th of November.
Elsewhere, Dutch retailer Bol.com also listed the PS4 as releasing on the 13th of November, but Sony claimed that the retailer's listings were just speculative.
To date, Sony has stuck by its original statement from E3 2013 where they said the PS4 would launch "holiday 2013". However, as the lead-up to Christmas diminishes, they are sure to announce a release date so that people can start planning.
If the 13th of November does turn out to be true, this would place the PS4 as launching before Microsoft's Xbox One, which is rumoured to release on the 27th of November - two days before this year's Black Friday.
As revealed at this year's E3, the PlayStation 4 will retail for £349.99 in Europe, while the Xbox One will cost £80 more. However, Microsoft has since back-tracked on their stern DRM policies by removing the need for the consoel to always be online, as well as relaxing their used-game policy.
