Warner Bros. confirmed, on a Batman: Arkham Origins panel at Comic-Con, in San Diego, that Copperhead will be one of villans of the game. The assassin will be inspired on the DC Comics series, The New 52, with the villan wearing a snake-suit, rather than the comics' anthropomorphic serpent design.
Originally, the character was introduced in 1968's The Brave and the Bold 78, where Copperhead was a man in a snake costume. The character's defining characteristics are her outlandish contortionists skills and use of snake venom as a trademark weapon.
According to Warner Bros., Copperhead was re-imagined as a female character in order to add more women to the roster. It was also revealed that Robin won't be making an appearance in the title, this due to the timeline where the game takes place, however, Batgirl might make an appearance.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be released in October for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
