At San Diego Comic-Con today Capcom's announcement turned out to be a huge surprise that almost wasn't expected. A brand new game Strider has been revealed for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and it's in development at Killer Instinct studio Double Helix.
The official announcement states: "Part of Strider's enduring appeal has been blazing fast gameplay, married with deep environment traversal options. For the new game, Double Helix and our partner team in Osaka, Japan, concentrated on an ultra-responsive control system, with incredibly satisfying combat options in every traversal context -- standing, running, wall climbing, hanging, aerial and more."
Double Helix is rumored to be working with a few of the original creators of Strider. It might be too early to judge it based on one trailer but its been a long time since Strider has stared in his own game. As the fans sink their teeth into this news its good to keep an open mind about Strider's triumphant return and see whats in store for it in the coming months.
