Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster To Be Released In October, Says Amazon

Gamescom has arrived, and unlike Square Enix had promised, no release date for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was announced. However, today Amazon France changed it's standard 31st of December release date, to 16th of October, while Zavvi changed it to the 18th of October.

With Gamescom still going on and Square promising that more information would be revealed at the event, chances are that this dates might be accurate. In addition, if these dates are indeed correct, it would suggest that the HD collection would launch on the 15th of October in North America.

The HD Remaster will feature 60 tracks from the original Final Fantasy X soundtrack, rearranged and optimised for high definition audio, as well as Last Mission, and an audio episode that takes place after Final Fantasy X-2. The game will be available for PS3 and PS Vita, while the games will come bundled together for the console release, the handheld versions will be sold separately.
