Microsoft announced today during their event that Cobalt will be released for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Mojang, the title's publisher, also revealed this on its official website.

Cobalt, is being developed by Oxeye Game Studio, and it was revealed in 2011. The game is currently in alpha stage for PC and Mac, however is not yet known when it will be released or what price will be, however early access to the game, which works well as pre-game reserve, require you to pay $9.95.

Cobalt is being described as a multiplayer action game that combines everything from rolling and shooting to hacking and whatever "piñata-ing" means. The team is in the process of working on a map editor that will release with the game, to allow for modding using Lua scripting language.

Pontus Hammarberg, producer of Cobalt, used the site of Mojang to express his feeling regarding the recent news: "Since we started producing Cobalt was clear that the game would be at home on a console. We are working on a solo campaign robust, however there is nothing like experiencing ballet of violence in slow motion with friends. Yay!"
