Rockstar Games has stated that Grand Theft Auto V may still have a place on the PS4 and Xbox One, but that they're just focussing on the current generation at the moment.
The quotes comes from Rockstar North president Leslie Benzie, who when commenting on next-generation platforms for GTA V said: "We'll get the current gen version out first and see what happens in the future."
Until then, Benzie assured gamers that Grand Theft Auto V will more than be able to accommodate for their needs in the near future. Benzie spoke about a whole host of additions the company has planned relating to missions, clothes and apartments. Rockstar will also be monitoring what people are playing to get a better understanding of where to focus future efforts. This was more related to GTA Online, which will be releasing on the 1st of October.
At present, Grand Theft Auto V is due to release on the 17th of September worldwide on the PS3 and Xbox 360. However, there has been rumours of a PC release. This was "confirmed" via Nvidia, who then retracted their statement as an error.
