New Sonic Lost World Footage Shows Off Desert Ruins and Silent Forest

Footage for Sonic Lost World's that was part of last weekends Summer of Sonic event was shown off and features Desert Ruins and Silent Forest stages. It features footage from both the 3DS and Wii U versions. The trailer shows off both the 3D and 2D gameplay. In the Desert Ruins Sonic must dodge the attacks of giant sandworms by utilizing his Eagle power, that turns him into a magical flying bird for a limited amount of time.

Each version of Sonic Lost World will feature unique features. The Wii U edition will have its own exclusive Color Powers that can be controlled with the GamePad by tilting, touching and aiming. The game will also be playable using only the GamePad screen alone and will also include a two player support mode. The 3DS edition will have exclusive Special Stages and Color Powers.

Sonic Lost Word releases for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U on October 18 in Europe, October 22 in North America, and on October 24 in Japan.
