Microsoft revealed on the Section Get More With Xbox One on Xbox.com that voice commands for Xbox One won't be available at launch for all countries. According to the site, these will only be available upon its release in the U.S., UK, Canada, France and Germany.
"Xbox voice commands will not be available in all markets on the product release date. Voice commands will be available at launch in US, UK, CA, FR, and DE," said Microsoft. Despite being a major feature of Xbox One, allowing players to interact with their console using only their voice, what is certain is that the vast majority of consumers will have to wait a few more months to take advantage of such functionality.
After Microsoft postponed the Xbox One's release date to 2014 in 8 territories due to location problems related to the Kinect, it looks like once again, Microsoft proves that the Xbox One's launch seems a bit rushed.
The Xbox One will be released in November in 13 countries for $499.99, arriving in 2014 on the rest of the world.
