Typically each of the Batman Arkham games has had the inclusion of a New Game Plus mode that brings over all of the stats and equipment from the previous playthrough. This time players will find themselves treated to a another game mode called I Am The Night that becomes available after completing New Game Plus.
What makes I Am The Night so special is that it includes permadeath. That's right, if you die once it's game over. Originally Arkham Origin's creative director, Eric Holmes, stated that there were no saves in I Am The Night. However, he retracted his statement on Twitter saying that saves are possible, but that the one life rule will still apply.
While being able to save sounds like it would take away from a permadeath mode, one thing is for sure: you can never have too much Batman. Batman: Arkham Origins releases for the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, and PC on October 25.
