Ubisoft revealed today more details about Child of Light, that according to the producer, it's like a "playable poem." The project is being led by Far Cry 3's director, Patrick Plourde, and is being built using UbiArt - Ubisoft Montpellier's Rayman engine.
Child of Light will allow players to take control of Pricess Aurora, a girl trapped in a waking dream, and in order to save her kingdom, she must recover the three light sources, and defeat the Black Queen. The game with RPG roots and turn-based combat will have a wide variety of monsters to defeat, incluiding werewolves and dragons.
The game will also include co-op mode, with a second player joining in as Igniculus, Autora's firefly friend. Igniculus will aid Aurora in battle by blinding enemies, stop enemy attacks, and healing party members. Outside of battle he can discover hidden areas and treasure.
Child of Light is set to release in 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Wii U.
