Pokémon X and Y Patch Now Available

One week after acknowledging a save bug in Pokémon X and Y, Nintendo has finally released a patch via the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo also used this opportunity to correct errors that at times caused the GTS feature to not work properly.

From their UK website, Nintendo detailed the exact changes that the Ver. 1.1 update will make.

  • Prevents the occurrence of a rare issue in which players are unable to resume playing after saving their game in certain areas of Lumiose City. Players already affected by this issue will also be able to resume playing normally after downloading and installing this update data.

  • Prevents errors which sometimes occur when using certain functions of the GTS (a feature allowing players all around the world to exchange Pokémon).

There are two ways to acquire the update for Pokémon X and Y. The first is the traditional navigating to the eShop, selecting the Pokémon X and Y icon, and selecting the update from there. The second option is to scan one of the two QR codes provided here. Please note that each version of the game uses a different update so be sure to scan the correct QR code that corresponds to your version of the game.

We gave Pokémon X and Pokémon Y a 9 out of 10 praising the title for its excellent use of 3D graphics, customization, and new features such as Pokémon-Amie
