Square Enix has announced, thanks to its latest "Letter from the Producer LIVE", that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn's patch 2.1 will release in December.
This patch brings about quite a few additions ranging from a salon, where players can change their character's hair and facial hair, to the Crystal Tower, a new dungeon for high-end players.
The salon will cost 2,000 gil a pop, but if you're looking to modify your character's appearance, it's quite a new feature to have.
Crystal Tower is recommended for higher level players. Square Enix has advised that equipment gained from this dungeon can be used with the upcoming "vanity" feature. This will be implemented at a future date, so there's only limited information about this at present.
There will also be some changes to the Duty Finder. First off, the "kick" feature will be added, but there will be some limitations.
