EA has announced that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will release in February for Xbox One and Xbox 360, with the PC version being available at a later date. In addition, the publisher has revealed that the Xbox One version will feature two additional modes, a local split-screen mode, and 'Boss Mode', where players can use Kinect or SmartGlass to support their teams.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will feature 10 different maps and 3 game modes: Garden & Graveyards, Team Vanquish and Garden Ops. Garden & Graveyards and Team Vanquish are 12 vs 12 competitive multiplayer modes, with Garden & Graveyard being a objective-based capture mode where plants must defend their garden base from the attack of the zombies, while Team Vanquish will be a deathmatch mode with the first team to score 50 kills being the winner. Garden Ops will be a four-player co-op mode.
In order to deliver a more creative and unique experience, both zombies and plants will feature 4 different classes each. Plants will have the front-line infantry Peashooter, the healing Sunflower, the sniper Cactus, and the close combat Chomper. The Zombies will have classes similar to the plants: the infantry Foot Soldier, the healing Scientist, the tanked class All-Star, and the support class Engineer.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on the 18th of February in North America, and on the 21st of February in Europe.
