PS4 Launches In North America, Sony Issues Year-End Sales Expectations

The wait is over for North Americans as the PS4 has released today across the continent at the suggested retail price of $399.

Launching alongside 26 different titles, including Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack, the PlayStation 4 has released a week before the Xbox One in North America. However, Europeans won't get the chance to play their PS4s until the 29th of November.

Sony are looking to have 3 million consoles sold by the end of the year worldwide. However, by March 2014 they're looking to have an additional 2 million in the hands of consumers. One main reason for this is the deferred launch of the console in Japan. In Sony's home territory, the PS4 doesn't release until the 22nd of February, 2014.

Have you managed to get a PS4 for yourself yet? If so, how're you getting on? Let us know in the comments!
