While not affecting all new systems, Sony has confirmed that under one percent of all PS4s are suffering from the "Blue Light of Death." Despite this outbreak being a small one, Sony is actively addressing the problem with its many retailers.
Perhaps what makes this blue light so strange is the fact that it cannot be traced to a single source within the console. While some have interpreted this as a good thing, it does not change the fact that there are consoles not functioning properly. As of now, the only reported negative symptoms of the blue light are no images appearing on the TV screen when the users turn on the PS4 or the system shutting off after flashing blue.
If you or anyone you know is suffering from the Blue Light of Death, you can visit Sony's PS4 support page here for possible solutions.
