Following the success of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Rebord on the PS3 and PC, Square Enix finally revealed the release window for the title on Sony's next-gen console. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available for PS4 sometime in April 2014, although it was not confirmed if this release window is only meant for Japan or if it's a worldwide release.
In addition to a release window for the full game, Square Enix also confirmed that players will be able to access the title's beta test for PS4 on the 22nd of February, the same day the console launches in Japan. Players that already purchased the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be able to upgrade to the PS4 for free, but by doing this, players won't be able to play the game on the PS3 ever again.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was launched on PC and PS3 in August, becoming a far more successful title than Square Enix was expecting. For more information about the game, be sure to check our review.
