Coming the 14th and 15th of December, Nintendo 3DS users in the United States will be able to meet other players from all across the country in a new manner. Instead of meeting the last six players who visited locations such as McDonald's and BestBuy, they will meet players whose data has been shuffled from across the entire country.
As mentioned, players would normally take their 3DS into a Nintendo Zone location with StreetPass turned on. This would allow players to "meet" the last six Miis of other gamers who visited the same location. Players could use the new Miis to play mini games such as Puzzle Swap and exchange data that could be used in games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Fire Emblem: Awakening.
However, during the 14th and 15th of December, Nintendo will take the data of all the Miis in their Nintendo Zone servers and scatter them across the country. This will allow 3DS owners to meet new people which can lead to more enjoyment from their various 3DS titles as well as unlock achievements that involve meeting Miis from out of state.
How many Nintendo Zone locations will you visit this weekend, and what do you plan on doing with your new Miis? Let us know in the comments below.
