Hideo Kojima has shared some new pictures via Twitter, which show Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes being played on PS Vita via the PS4's remote play capabilities.

Kojima has always had a special connection with Sony handhelds, such was his support of the PlayStation Portable. This saw non-canon games such as Metal Gear Ac!d release, but we also saw Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops release, which was a main series game. Due to this, he is clearly very excited about the prospect of PlayStation gamers being able to play Ground Zeroes on the go via the PS Vita and remote play.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will act as the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V, with the full game releasing at some point in the future - this will be called Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In terms of the overall timeline, the game takes place shortly after Peace Walker, with The Phantom Pain taking place almost a decade after.

Ground Zeroes will be a cross-generation game, releasing on the PS3 and Xbox 360, while also appearing on the PS4 and Xbox One. It's due to release on the 18th of March in North America, while Europeans will be seeing the game on the 21st of March.

With this game, Kojima is looking to show off his new vision for the Metal Gear Solid franchise. It was initially billed under the name of "Development Without Borders", and will utilise Kojima Productions' new Fox Engine.
