Ubisoft has decided to move forward the release date of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Rayman Legends - the latest platformer from Ubisoft Montpellier.

The title already released on the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, PS Vita and towards the end of 2013, but the next-generation version of the game comes with some interesting improvements.

First up, Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends on the PS4 and Xbox One will feature improved graphics through the use of uncompressed textures. There will also be decreased loading times between the game's maps.

In addition to this, there will be some console-specific exclusives. PS4 gamers will be able to use Assassin Ray, while those on Xbox One will be able to use Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas and Globox Vaas.

Ubisoft also announced that the Xbox One version of the game will come with 10 exclusive challenges, which can be used to unlock time-limited achievements. On PS4, gamers will be able to use the DualShock's touchpad as a scratch card, amongst other things.

The game was previously due to release on the 28th of February in Europe, but will now be releasing on the 21st of February in this territory, while North American gamers will be able to play the game on the 18th of February.
