Fans of the hit Japanese diva Hatsune Miku can rejoice because the time is upon us for the Playstation Vita release of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f. Sega has formally announced via the Playstation Blog that they will be releasing the title via PSN in digital format only in both North America and Europe in March.
For those that don't know, Hatsune Miku is a diva created from a singing voice synthesizer program called Vocaloid. Since her creation she has grown into a huge hit that has spawned multiple franchises included rhythm based games. The first ever to hit the west was Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F for the Playstation 3. However the Playstation Vita version was the original that never made it overseas, until now.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f features over 30 songs that can be played over many difficulties, speeds, and with added challenges. Select your diva, change their appearance, then send them to sing and dance as you match the symbols and rhythm to reach high scores.
Sega has also announced that much of the DLC that was present in Japan will also be available for purchase in March. This includes Snow Miku 2013 DLC, the Extra Character Modules Pack, and the Extra Songs pack.
While we don't have an exact date yet it's great to finally see this being localized. If you have a PS3 you can pick up the PS3 version today on Blu-ray or Digital Download; there's also a demo available for free if you're not sure what you're getting yourself into.
