EA and DICE have announced that the third Battlefield 4 expansion pack, Naval Strike, has been delayed on Xbox One and PC. The Naval Strike DLC, which was supposed to be released yesterday, won't be available on these platforms until early April.
According to DICE, the expansion was delayed on PC because the team found an issue that could affect the game's performance, therefore, the pack's release was delayed until they can fix the issue and deliver the highest quality level possible. As for the Xbox One version, DICE needs to address a few issues that seem to affect the game's animation system, which could "hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations."
"We know that many Battlefield 4 Premium owners wanted to play Naval Strike today. However, we didn't want to release the new content until we believed it was quality content," said DICE. The PS3, Xbox 360, and PS4 releases of the Naval Strike expansion aren't affected and are already available to download to Premium members, while other players will have to wait until the 8th of April.
Naval Strike will introduce four new multiplayer maps: Lost Islands, Wave Breaker, Nansha Strike, and Operation Mortar. In addition, the pack will also feature the Carrier Assault game mode.
