PlayStation 4's Price Increased In Canada

Bad news for Canadian gamers, as Sony has confirmed to Toronto Sun that the price of the PS4 will be going up in Canada today. However, it's just not the console's price that will get increased, but the DualShock 4 and camera as well.

Starting today, the PS4 will be 50$ more expensive in Canada, going from $399.99 to $449.99. As for the controller and camera, both are 5$ more expensive, going from $59.99 to $64.99. These price hikes emerge after the prices of games increased 5$ on both PS4 and Xbox One back in January.

Sony states that the decision to increase the price of the console and its acessories was made in order "to respond to changes in the market environment." According to the Sun, although regular shipments of stock are continuing, the PS4 remains sold out almost at every retailer, unlike the Xbox One.

Do you think these price increases will also happen in other countries? Did this make you consider to buy a PS4 now? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
