In an interview with IGN, Matt Stone, creator of South Park, stated that he would be open to doing another game despite the long production process of the first game; "Never say never. I would do it again, in some fashion," Stone said. "I think that video games are really interesting."
The game had a somewhat troubled development, which Stone personally admitted, "was a hellacious undertaking "“ much more than when we signed up for it"¦ There was definitely a big learning curve for Trey (Parker) and I. We made a lot of mistakes and assumptions."
Hopefully the team has learned something from the trouble they went through to make the first game, and if a sequel is to be made, the production time is faster with a soon after.
