Capcom Kicks Off Mega May Event For 3DS

For the entire month of May, Capcom will release the remaining Game Boy and Game Boy Color entries of the Mega Man franchise on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This will come to a massive total of 13 Mega Man games available on the 3DS once the month of May is over.

While the first six Mega Man games from the NES quickly arrived on the eShop, only one portable title from the series was ever released. This was none other than Mega Man: The Wiley Wars. Now, after a year of waiting, the remaining portable titles will be available by May's end. These titles are as follows: Mega Man II, Mega Man III, Mega Man IV, and Mega Man V as well as Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2. Please note that while they share the same title, Mega Man II - V are not ports of the NES games, but are original adventures. They do, however, feature Robot Masters from the NES games as well as new ones.

While Capcom still seems hesitant to make new installments of the Mega Man franchise, there's certainly enough content coming to the 3DS Virtual Console to satisfy fans for a little longer.
