EA has announced that the next entry in the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, will be released on the 7th of October. The announcement was made via a trailer released by the publisher.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will take place after the events of the novels Dragon Age: Asunder and The Masked Empire, with the peace conference between the warring mages and templars taking place at the time. However, during that event a cataclysmic blast occurs, leading to the extintion of many, with the Inquisitor, the title's main character, being the only survivor of the explosion.
The title's gameplay will be a bit different when compared to its predecessors, featuring gameplay that will merge the third-person fighting with the player's ability to prepare and position in battle, and work together with its party members. In addition, the game's creative director, Mike Laidlaw, has also revealed that they took note of other open world games, and promises that Dragon Age: Inquisition will be larger and more varied that any title in the series.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, on the 7th of October.
