Since the end of last year, PlayStation 3 owners have been able to download their copy of Minecraft from the PSN store, but for those who want a physical copy of the game, then a retail version is coming to stores on the 16th of May this year.

The retail version of the game will include all updates up to version 14, which includes items like Emeralds, Ender Chests, potatoes, among much more.

Owen Hill from Mojang also stated on the US PlayStation blog that "the team at 4J is working on bringing Minecraft to PS4 and PS Vita. Sorry for the delay, but making Minecraft happen is serious business."

Will you be picking up the retail version of the game if you already have it from the PSN store? Let us know in the comments below.
