While speaking about the company's finances on a call to investors, Yves Guillemont, CEO of Ubisoft, stated that the Assassin's Creed series will continue on the PS3 and Xbox 360 for now. However, the CEO made no comment concerning what the next Assassin's Creed for PS3 and Xbox 360 will be about.
Though more games in the Assassin's Creed series will make their way to the PS3 and Xbox 360, that does not mean that the PS4 and Xbox One will be left out. In fact, Assassin's Creed Unity is planned to be released before the end of 2014 along with Assassin's Creed: Comet.
It's apparent that Ubisoft is not yet ready to give Assassin's Creed a break, and why should they, the series has been going from strength to strength in recent years. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is reported to have sold 11 million copies worldwide and it was also critically acclaimed.
With E3 around the corner, we will hopefully be receiving more information about what the future may hold for the Assassin's Creed franchise.
