Despite E3 being around the corner, Electronic Arts couldn't wait to reveal the next title in the Battlefield series, battlefield Hardline. The title was originally leaked earlier today on the Better Battlelog forums.
This new entry in the series appears to be headed in a new direction in comparision to previous Battlefield titles. Hardline will be a police-themed Battlefield, focusing on the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals.
"Several years ago, I was at an internal EA meeting in Barcelona with creative leaders from across the company. It was there I met Karl Magnus Troedsson, the GM of DICE, for the first time, and we immediately began talking about games "“ I've always loved Battlefield and KM was a huge fan of Dead Space, which I was working on at the time. We started talking about different ways we could work together, different ways we could take Battlefield and action games in a new direction. It was then that this project that became Battlefield Hardline was born," said Steve Papoutsis, vice president and general manager at Visceral Games.
According to the leak, the title will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. In addition to the title's reveal, a video revealing story details and gameplay from both multiplayer and single-player modes was also leaked.
More Battlefield Hardline details will be revealed at E3, which will take place on the 9th of June.
