With Watch Dogs' launch just a few weeks away, Ubisoft has released today a brand new trailer for the title. Dubbed the "101 trailer," this 9 minute trailer will teach players everything they need to know about the world of Watch Dogs.
The trailer starts off by giving us a look at the different skills and powerful hacks that players will be able to use while playing as Aiden Pearce. It goes on to show the game's several characters, the multiplayer component, cars, minigames and more.
Following Sony's statement yesterday suggesting that Watch Dogs would run at 1080p/60fps, Ubisoft has official confirmed today the game's resolution on PS4 and Xbox One. The PS4 version will run at 900p/30fps, while the Xbox One version will run at 792p/30fps.
"Exploration and expression are everything. You want to have a steady framerate, but you want to have dynamism at the core of the experience. The same goes with resolution. People tend to look at corridor shooters, for example, where there's a corridor and all the effects are on and it's unbelievable, and they forget that if you apply those same global effects to an open city with people around and potential car crashes and guys in multiplayer showing up without warning, the same effect is applied to a lot of dynamic elements that are happening in every frame. So it becomes magnified in cost," said Jonathan Morin, Watch Dogs' Creative director.
Watch Dogs will be released on the 27th of May for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The Nintendo Wii U version will be available later this year.
