Fans were worried that they couldn't use GameCube controllers to play the new Smash Bros. game due to the lack of ports on the game council. Today Nintendo has revealed a new Wii U accessory that will change this. They will be debuting an adapter for GameCube pads that will be in use at the Smash Bros. tournament during E3.

This four-port adapter was also shown alongside a new Smash Bros.-themed controller. It is unclear as to if these two will be sold to the public in the near future.

The Smash Bros. Invitational at E3 will take place on Tuesday June 10th from 4:00-6:30pm PT. Those unable to attend will be able to watch the event via twitch.
